I read, earlier, that a previous customer had never written a review but was moved to do so, having enjoyed a visit to The Barking Buck. This applies to me. This is my very first review.
Before booking, I checked the reviews and was suspicious that so many gave 5 out of 5. I was concerned that, perhaps, these might have been falsified.
Nevertheless, my wife and I wanted to venture to somewhere new and we booked accordingly.
Our food was so enjoyable and so beautifully presented that I had to write this, because the new owners deserve success.
It was so disappointing that the place was deserted because it really does warrant a visit. If you are a meat and two or three veg person, this is not for you. But, if you enjoy top quality food that has been prepared with care and presented beautifully, you must make a visit. You will not be disappointed!

Firstly I never leave reviews but I feel like I have to after the food we had last night.

We had a table booked for dinner, the food was fantastic 😍, we had the Satay Chicken, fish and chips and the Curry, all dishes were totally wonderful, beautiful in taste and presentation, for desert we had the lemon cheesecake which could've been a bit more lemon tasting and we also had the tiramisu which was the best I've ever had. I thorough enjoyed a one night stay here a few weeks back. The room was clean, well equipped, and had a quaint and rustic feel to it. The staff were very attentive, with the owner (Mark) being especially friendly and accommodating making us feel very welcome. The food was divine with a unique fusion of italian and asian foods! high standards and presentation, at a fair price for the outstanding quality. At breakfast we were the only people in the restaurant so felt particularly well looked after :) the location also adds to the experience, being out in the country side.
